Privacy Policy | Neylo
How Neylo handles the limited information needed to provide and improve the app.
Scope and contact
This Privacy Policy explains how Neylo handles information when you use the Neylo app and related services. Neylo does not expose sign-up, email/password login, or a visible user profile.
For privacy questions or requests, contact Neylo at info@neylo.app.
Information we handle
Neylo creates and stores an anonymous installation identifier in native secure storage. When a backend API URL is configured, the app may send that identifier together with platform, derived country from locale, locale tag, app version, and operating system version to Neylo's backend.
Onboarding option selections, including photo contexts, gender selection, and use case, can be kept locally and sent to the backend after a successful bootstrap. The current contract covers selected options, not user-written free text.
The photo editor uses the operating system's selected-photo flow. A chosen image is normalized and used locally for editing; this policy does not state that every selected photo is sent to Neylo's backend.
- Allowlisted product flow and tool activity may be sent under the anonymous installation identifier. The analytics contract rejects arbitrary property bags and does not receive uploaded photos or general message content.
- Purchase-related access status may be handled to provide or restore subscription access. Neylo does not receive payment-card details.
Why we use information
Neylo uses the limited information above to provide and secure the app, restore access, maintain and improve product flows, and respond to support or privacy requests.
Service providers and recipients
Purchases and restorations use the relevant Apple App Store or Google Play purchase system and RevenueCat for subscription entitlement operations. Where a backend is configured, Neylo's hosting and backend providers may process the information needed to operate that service.
Services may process information where their infrastructure operates.
Storage, retention, and requests
Local application state, including the installation identifier, onboarding markers, and pending records, remains on your device in OS-protected app storage. Removing the app is governed by your device operating system.
Server-side information is retained only as needed for the purposes described here, security, and applicable obligations. Send questions or requests to info@neylo.app.
Your choices and rights
Photo access is requested through platform permissions when you choose a photo flow. You can manage those permissions through your device settings.
You may contact info@neylo.app with privacy questions or to exercise applicable rights.
Changes to this policy
If Neylo makes a material change to this policy, the change will appear on this page with an updated effective date.
